Weapons, enemies and violence overall needs more 'umph'. I rarely cheat in games but I feel like I won't play through this if I don't.
My thinking is that if I disable Anti-Aliasing, I can perhaps compensate for the extra FPS by re-enabling DirectX 11 Advanced DoF. Perhaps if I set it to read-only, I circumvent this problem altogether. METRO 2033 REDUX Cheats: Add Money, Godmode, Indestructible Gas Mask. I have been trying to disable Anti-Aliasing (g_supersampling) but it seems that when I run the game, it turns it back on due to my options being set to Very High. If you set it to read-only, does it force the game to use whatever you put in this file? I'm not using that function now and magically the trainer works.
I think the issue was that I was enabling 'no reload' from the trainer's functions, which just made the game crash whenever I was using a shotgun or sniper rifle. Launch the game and start a new game / load a save game. Ideally one built for the version of the game you have, but older version MIGHT still work. I've got a trainer working now, but I re-installed the game beforehand. Google Metro 2033 redux + cheat engine to find some pre-made cheat tables for your game.
